Wayne Geri was a teacher at Del Campo Highschool. In 1999-2000, WGA teachers Robert Kohler and Justin Altman had the pleasure of attending his philosophy class. Says Kohler, "It was the first class in which I was forced to think and question assumptions. At that point, I knew what school could be and saw how short my own schooling had fallen from this mark. I decided that someday I would build a school in which students thought rather than filled out worksheets."
This school is a tribute to Mr. Geri and all he taught his students. He inspired students to think critically, speak their minds with logic and eloquence, and to be passionate about their opinions and dreams. It is our aim to do the same for every student at WGA.
